2026-02-17 05:23:37 +0000 UTCI wonder if Mirian ever learned how to play cards.

2026-02-17 03:31:09 +0000 UTCI hope she saves the president of Arkana, he seems like a good dude fighting for the regular people.

2026-02-16 11:09:34 +0000 UTCI thought the same. I think it signifies that even Mirian has stopped counting, because the only thing left to do is to wait for all the previous needles to return to the Omnian. So counting the loops stopped mattering.

2026-02-16 10:44:17 +0000 UTCHope Mirian remembers to save all the innocent lives she promised to save, including Arenthia, Beatrice and company at Frostland's Gate. I hope she can even save the people murdered in Palendurio, etc. Interesting that of all the Prophets it seems to be Mirian who is the most resilient to the time loops. Then again, I think Mirian has also gone through the most soul ascensions.

2026-02-16 05:43:00 +0000 UTCSeems I rejoined here at just the right moment. It feels a bit weird to have mamy decades have passed now that we haven't really seen. There is more time in the timeloop we haven't seen at all then the time before we have read exactly what they have done during their loops. It feels suddenly time went so fast.

2026-02-16 05:31:57 +0000 UTCNooooo, how many loops has it been?? Going from a handful of temporal anchors after 290 cycles to all 48. That's gotta be like 100 or more right? That wouldn't be too bad for their psyches but what if it's 500. That passage of time informs more of what their mental state and power level is at.

2026-02-16 01:44:33 +0000 UTCHonestly, pulling a page straight out of xianxia, the next book might not actually be about “everything going wrong” in the final or post-cycle stage, but instead about Mirian finally moving on to a higher-level location somewhere else on the planet. At the very least, that would satisfy part of the curiosity about what Enteria actually looks like beyond the current scope. Based on how the prophets’ relationships and interactions have developed so far, I genuinely don’t think a major betrayal is very likely. It just doesn’t fit the pattern the story has followed up to this point — or at least that’s what my intuitive read of it suggests, given how conflicts have emerged and been resolved so far. On top of that, at some point the story stopped digging deeply into the personalities of the other prophets and began treating them somewhat more superficially, especially once they all started working together. Celen in particular suffered from this, having joined last. Against that backdrop, a “betrayal” simply doesn’t feel like it would carry much weight. So taking those two vague impressions together, along with a collection of smaller hints, it seems fairly likely that the central theme of the next book will revolve around some new direction entirely.

2026-02-15 22:29:23 +0000 UTCI wonder what plans Miriam has for that other needle she found. Is she going to bind herself to eventual undeath as her father did? Or does she have something even greater in mind with her absolutely ridiculous skill level and magical power?
