Weekly roundup 1/4
Added 2026-01-04 19:17:41 +0000 UTCWoah, it's a new year. But not for Mirian! She's still stuck in the same one she started in. Awww.
If I logged all my daily word counts correctly (I didn't, but the number should be pretty close to what I did), I wrote 457,962 words in 2025, most of which were obviously for this story. Thanks again to all you wonderful folks for supporting me! Seriously, it's amazing.
Fun Tangent
In some places and times, humanity really has seen the end of the world. Palmer mentions the letters of Petrarch, who takes a turn towards despair as the black death strikes down so many of his friends. The plague didn't go away after that, either. Throughout the Renaissance, which people today often think of a golden age, the black death continued, striking seemingly randomly. And yet, great art, architecture, ideas, and inventions continued. Even as mercenary captains and nobles went about spilling blood in conquest, other people tried to spread ideas and philosophies that would bring about a better world.
Anyways, probably no parallels at all to anything going on today >_>
Here's the chapters that got released this week:
Extra-Advanced Tier
Chapter 276 - Chapter debt paid! This makes up for the one that went missing over the holidays.
Chapter 277 - Just made two small edits to this one to better show off Equinox. The paragraph that starts with "She began to drink" and the section that starts with "Shit, she thought" and ends with "If it's automatic, it must have preconditions," have a total of 6 new sentences.
Chapter 278
Advanced Tier
Chapter 268
Chapter 269 (Part 1)

It almost... almost(!!) tempers my greed for even more of the story every week haha. Do you have plans to have them professionally edited/published into physical things? I love the new trend of painted edged novels :D
