Added 2025-10-20 00:44:05 +0000 UTCSorry for the later-than-usual chapter. Managed to get sick from something, not too bad, but enough to slow things down. Fortunately, I think I'm already on the mend.
Fun Tangent:
People are clever, and well before the scientific method and development of modern medicine, plenty of them were trying to figure out how to cure various ailments. Some scientists ended up testing an old medieval recipe for treating an eye infection--and it worked. I try to incorporate this sort of mindset in worldbuilding: that often, societies discover ways to solve problems well before they understand why that solution works. In Enteria, that shows up in ancient societies having complex knowledge of how to scribe glyphs well before they understand anything about chemistry (or alchemistry).
Other stuff
There's a new post with the names of Zhighuan cities updated on the map. That's the only change so far. I didn't send the post as an email blast because it's a fairly minor update, mostly posted it so UK folks reading on RR could see a map, since imgur is now blocked for them.
