More plein air wanderings below!

I did loads this day, definitely the bonus of painting so tiny! I actually went out without my paper at first, I was trying to catch the morning fog and ran into the farmer halfway there, went to show her my tiny setup...and then realised I'd forgotten it and got a lift back to the village to try again. I feel like I spend a lot of time just missing amazing weather. The sunshine was a great concession prize though.You can still see the elusive fog making a haze in the distance. I need to wake up earlier lol.
I also added cool yellow gouache to my palette, because I feel like my yellow pan gets really greened up and dirty, and sometimes it's easier to just have two.
I actually sent this one to my granny and it got lost in the post, which is why it's not in my book! I find trees so complicated still, there's so much going on and I get so lost in the branches. I hope I get the hang of them eventually!

Here I realised painting on white paper was amazing, the sunshine was SO much easier to capture and I was so excited painting this, my absolute favourite thing is contrast so I don't know why I was kneecapping myself with cream paper. Returning to the same tree I painted before in gouache, but this time way happier with the result! I got all these done on the same walk, it was nice to actually dedicate some time to painting, instead of squeezing it in guiltily, or on weekends. I think I need to get better at this, I see other creators using patreon income to explore their hobbies and art interests with more freedom, and somehow I don't feel like I'm allowed to do that. I feel like I should focus on getting a 'real art job' along with the nsfw art that pays the bills, but what does that even mean!? Anyway maybe I'll keep doing this and become a landscape painter/pornographer. XD

A new day, new trees! Getting way more wintery. This time I put some violet gouache in my palette too, because I was getting annoyed having to mix it for the mud paths and trees, and it's been very very helpful. No more 'a bit more red' 'fuck, wrong red, wrong red!' etc. I did another painting this day, but I wasn't happy with it- it was tough painting in the fog, it never dried!Another new day. Got very excited about the sun lighting up those rows of grass, it almost looked like fire! Its tough to get photos of the paintings when the sun is infront, though!
