It's the same story every time, I have too much! I should have shared sooner!
I've taken so much time off lately I didn't expect to have so much to share! This time I'm going to split it into two? three :')? I've also been kind of daunted to share all my paintings, because I went kind of mad and did SO many, and I wanted to include some location photos too... and that's Quite a lot of photos...
I will be sharing these today and tomorrow since it's taking a while to put them together! I was going to do it all today but its already 11pm. oops.
I'm trying to keep it vaguely chronological in terms of digital art, so I'll split that into each, too.
I will however be sharing the pdf all together, so hold on until tomorrow for that!
I went a little bit crazy after rewatching titanic with some friends, listen. I just love Mr Andrews ok. I was obsessed with this movie (and him) since I was like 12. (I was a strange child.)
I've also got a continuation of the de-aged Halsin and Astarion comic, with oops, more angst. Do better, Astarion.
I continued my trend of going out with my little handmade easel, these next three were all painted from the top of a nearby hill. I'm quite proud of myself honestly, because it involved setting up next to a road people drive and bike on, and I have pretty bad social anxiety, but nobody stopped ;P (especially during the ugly phases, yikes).

I'm actually really happy with the glow here, it really stood out to me when I chose this copse, but I wasn't sure i could capture it! I was very glad I remembered my cap, though...
I was very brave here and decided to try and paint some cows, because they were catching the sun so beautifully, and I loved how the oranges matched the trees in the background. I'm glad I did, because it came out nice! I've doodled livestock before but painting something while it was moving was daunting.
How perfect are these trees!! It made such a beautiful square, I really wanted to try to be more stylised. Looking at the shape reminded me of Eyvind Earle and I really hoped to capture it! I don't think I pulled it off, but maybe next time! I have a realism curse that I am working on shaking...

At this point I was quite achy from carrying this monster around for all my paintings, so I decided to try and figure out a tiny tiny watercolour setup I could easily take on walks, and I've done SO many paintings since. It takes some of the pressure off, I can go on a walk with my mini kit, and if I don't paint there's no harm done. I have a tiny bit of card cut from a planner, some sewing clips, and a bulldog clip to balance the pad on (I still rest it on my fingers, but it contains the movement a bit more) I also use a water brush, and a bit of tissue paper tucked into my fanny pack (...bum bag), and that's it!
There was also something really compelling about capturing autumn before it disappeared. In england it only takes a few windy days and all the leaves fuck off, so I was going out every chance I got while it was still mild out XD. (Little did I know I'd still be doing it in the snow...)
I am SO lucky to live here.
This was the point I added some white gouache to my palette and my little brain exploded. I love these, I love how milky gouache makes things! I also just feel so excited by painting things, tbh. If I took a photo it would sit in my phone and I'd never look at it, but painting it just makes it real? I dunno. Maybe that's how photographers feel when they print work. Anyway these clouds were so nice and I am glad to have them captured forever.

It's kind of fun to include diary type elements, so here is halloween! We got takeout and watched the addams family movies >:).
My pumpkin designs were realised, also featuring timothy, my silly son.
And I will see you tomorrow for more updates (goodnight...)
