I put the digital stuff at the front since a lot of it is new this time. I've been taking a social media break, mostly so I feel I can take my time on things, and give myself time to experiment without feeling like I have to take everything to a 'postable' level. It's all self inflicted, really, but there's always a pressure to make Content, and I'm trying to distance from that, at least for my sfw art.
Anyway, I've been having fun trying new ways of colouring, I really want to bridge the gap between my sketch comics and my painted work, and generally to improve my colouring with lineart, so I've been messing around.
I hope bg3 fans enjoy the obscure 90's AU I'm working on- Charity worker Halsin and sex worker Astarion. Halsin keeps an eye out for sex workers especially, giving anyone who needs it info on the mealtimes at the charity he runs, info about cheap places to stay and places that won't check for loitering at night. He's also helping people get out if they want out, leaving with them for job interviews or helping them apply for benefits or housing. Obviously Astarion doesn't buy that anyone can be that nice, and tries to get a rise out of him by accusing him of all manner of immoral deeds. [edited slightly for consistency with newer comics!]
In my physical sketchbook there's a ton of life drawing, I have pretty bad social anxiety and I go into town maybe once every two months, and I always tell myself I'll draw in a cafe, but chicken out. Anyway I told people I was going to do it this time, so I *had*to, and it was nice! I even drew on the bus...and standing on the street... I find drawing very mindful, so once I start my brain is kinda chill...so I guess my strategy ended up being 'don't stop' haha!
