New Years Floor  / Cleanse Recipe & Spell

Good morning moon babes! The New Year is Fast approaching and lots of us are preparing to set ourselves and loved ones up for the best start of the year that we can. Allowing us to continue to grow and learn to become the best versions of ourselves in all aspects. WHile there is a lot of spellwork we can do around this time of year to set us up financially, with a lover, new jobs,better health, and even travel opportunities - I wanted to start the first spell off for the new year with a floor wash (I also use this blend for my doors and door handles as well!)

What You'll Need:

-White pillar candle

-Hyssop

-Lemon peel (fresh)

-Pine sol (one cap) if this is not suitable for your floors omit it . You can also use -White vinegar 

-Camphor

-Chamomile

-Angelica root

-Fresh Basil leaves

-Lavender

-Something to boil water to put into your pail for your mop.

-A sachet or organza bag to put your herbs in so they are not loose in your mop pail.

-Tool to etch your candle with

-Fireproof dish

How To Cast:

Normally I would tell you to cleanse your home from back to front, going out of your front door. However because this ritual is for cleansing you do not need to do this step first. Start at the sink with your camphor (this can be the block or in oil form either is fine) and wash your hands with fresh running water and a drop of camphor oil or a pinch of camphor from the actual tab. Rubbing the camphor in the middle of your palms together while you gather energy. Pull the energy you're going to put into this ritual  into your hands, so when you are putting your blend together the energy easily flows into the herbs and tools.

Once your hands are cleansed sppirially and physically allow them to air dry, and begin gathering your herbs and tools listed above. Cleanse all of your tools with the holy water. Sweep your home from back to front to not only get the actual debris or dust off of your floors but also beginning to move the stagnant energy from your space. 

Start with your white candle, bless it by cleansing it with holy water then etch either a familial protection sigil (I have a post on patreon on how to create one!) or your favorite protection sigil onto the candle. You can also write a petition for the people who live in your home,  fold it towards you, and place the petition under the fireproof dish you are going to be placing the candle on. Next rub some of the camphor into the etch marks and set down. You want to start the candle as the water for your floor wash is heating up. 

From there you will begin gathering all of the herbal allies from the list above. Bringing them into your hands and pushing energy that you gathered down into the herbs one by one, then adding each herb into the sachet/ organza bag. Once all of your herbs have been added put the herbal bag into the botem of your mop pail and pour your cap of pine sol or white vinegar into the mop bucket and once the water is hot pour that into the pail. You can agitate / make sure all of the elements are combined with your mop head and once you are ready to begin mopping do so while chanting the spell below.

SPELL:

Cleanse, purify, blessed, and new,

My space is stripped of all energy that has left me feeling askew.

Pure, refreshed, and anointed I move forward

Protected by my ancestors before intentions pure,

May harmony and peace forever I endure,

As I reclaim my sanctuary, my energy, my solace.

I thank my ancestors (may leave outfit you wish) of my highest good,

My space is mine, the energy tranquil and kind.

Once you have mopped your floor you can also use this wash as a door was if you would like as well. Or even take the above (omitting pine sol) and take a bath with this and change the wordign of my spell if you would like and want to do a cleansing bath!
