Prom saw Gladio who was very subtle with his branded clothes

So he had money but wasnt being showy

Not like people wearing knockoffs

So he figured, this guy can lose a few crowns and not miss them

Probably wouldnt bother to give chase either because it was pittance to them

I figure Gladio gives him what he has on him

There's something about Prompto that intrigues but also bothers him

I'm imagining Prompto as Gladio's ear tot he ground

Imagine a scene where Gladio's walking through the market and he sees Prom hovering

And he's like 'you're not smooth' 

'Im not trying ot be'

And then Prompto gets embarrassed because that was almost flirting

But he'd heard some whispers about weapons coming into Insomnia

Gladio carries the info to Cor who wants to know where he got his intel

Ohhh I have a few things going through my mind

What if Cor had been the one to bring Prompto to Insomnia

And had seen him be adopted

Assumed he was living his best life

So much later down the line Gladio brings Prompto to Cor to pass on some details

And Cor doesnt recognise Prompto but yeah he recognises the numbers on the tattoo

Promptos life is about to get better

Tho i feel like he'd have a lot of trouble settlinginto any kind of foster situation because he's not used to having a home

AND THEN

The other scenario

Horrible timing

Prom overhears Gladio talking about him

'You know the street urchin?'

Something kind of degrading

Gladio was posturing or just telling it in its most base sense

Prompto was probably crushing hard

But the class difference is suddenly slammed in his face

He never had a chance

Like, imagine someone askign Gladio who the dirty kid he was hanging around with was

'He can't help it, he's a street urchin - public toilets aren't the best places to bathe'

'At least he doesnt smell'

'Dude come on, he can't help it. You have a bath and you still smell like shit'

Like the guy implying he might want to check for fleas

Being gross and Gladios like 'these dickheads' in his head

But he doesnt want to cause a scene

not realising Prom is overhearing

It would have played out very different if he did
