Good morning moon babes! Happy Monday, I hope all of your weekends have been going well! Today I wanted to share another home protection ward with you, one that is relatively “simple” to put together and upkeep spiritually. However, it is something that is extremely efficient.
This is an example of a physical ward that is very “simple” to put together. I also have another post called Ward - Home Protection Bottle that is super juicy.
It is something you can pick up and check on with all of your senses to check up on, something that is a perfect first line of defense spiritually. You can do this weekly, every two weeks, on full or new moons, or when you are seeing that it has been hit. The upkeep on this item is totally up to you and what fits in your practice. Honesty that’s why I love these, you can do simple variations of this all over your home to do slightly different things spiritually.
One at the door to absorb or reflect energy that you might bring in with you or guests might begin, one in the heart of your home to absorb or diffuse any tension the house might have in it. People carry their own emotions and if you had a hard day outside of your home, the front ward won’t catch that, its for “malevolent” energy so the heart ward will help diffuse that nasty energy you are harboring inside.
Things You’ll Need:
-Holy Water, you can sub blessed or moon water with this. If you want to make this a baneful ward replace this with war water and direct that water. I wrote a post on how to make war water a few months back!
-Evil eye oil
-Florida Water
-Sharp objects
-Black Obsidian
-Cascarilla or blue nail
-Jar with lid
-Fiery Wall of Protection oil or protection oil
-Paper for sigil or sharpie to write your sigil on the jar (watch my video on how to create sigils!)
-Hoodoos Evil Eye beads on the bottom
-Protection incense - any you like work here
How To Cast:
Prepare this on a saturday afternoon.
Cleanse your home, your tools, yourself, and sweep your home from back to front going entirely out of your front door. Cleanse down your front door with blessed water and a white cloth prior to starting your ritual, spiritually preparing your door to aid in your ritual and protection. I like to do this wash the night before the first and my money manifestation washes.
Lay offerings to your ancestors or whoever you would like to involve in the creation of this ward if you wish to do so at all. If you have a home protection sigil already created and activated or a reflection sigil, prepare a petition paper with fiery wall of protection oil and your sigil, you are going to be placing this under your jar. Watch my video on how to create sigils if you aren't sure.
If you do not have a home protection sigil created spend some time to do so, this can be as intricate or simple as you would like, (for those who might not know how to do so I have a few posts on sigils on here as well, use the search bar and look up sigils! Or there is a website to create them for you, that's just not as. The placement of this jar is once again up to you, for the sake of this breakdown I will be explaining how to make a front door ward.
You can either prepare this near your front door or at your altar. Light your incense, begin with your petition paper and either place it under the jar near your front door or inside of the jar. If you are using a sharpie, draw your activated sigil on the top of your jar and place the lid under your open jar as you begin to fill the jar with your protection items. Begin picking up your items one by one and activate them, tell them what roll they play in this protective home ward and once you are ready place them into your jar, leaving the water and oil to be added last.
Once all of your items have been added to your jar, take your water and begin slowly pouring it into your jar, visualizing a huge impenetrable force that covers your home entirely- like a bubble fully above and below your home, including any animals and other people you live with in this visualization. Pray with the water that it collects or reflects (depending on what kind of ward you're casting) negative energy, forces, entities ect from your home and space. When all of the water is added, the amount is up to you, you can fill your jar all the way up or half way its totally up to you. Then add 4 drops of fiery wall of protection or protection oil on top, close the lid and gently shake your jar, this is the final step of your activation.
This ward does not come with a spell to chant over it, for this kind of working I like to activate it by speaking life and prayer into the jar. Telling why you are making it and what its active job is going to be while you are utilizing this ward. You can tell it to warn you, throw omens or signs if its been hit if you’d like.
******For my hoodoo bbys or practitioners who use the bible you can pray psalm 53 or 118 over the jar once you've closed it.
Check up on your ward daily or weekly, depending on how the energy in your space feels. You’ll know when to change it, and if it doesn't seem to nasty after a month I would redo it with the full moon.
