'Maria'- Sylvia & Jerry comic page process

As a treat for finishing a comic, I made...another comic. (based on 'Maria' by Blondie)

This is at uni before Sylvia came out, she studied dance as a way to express femininity without her family disapproving. Jerry was studying music business, which comes in pretty handy later when they start an agency ;).

Soon after this Jerry ditched her mean friend and started bugging Sylvia (who didn’t reeaally mind). They bonded over music and gender feelings, though it took Sylvia a long time to realise Jerry was actually interested in her :‘O!

I'm really pleased that this style is working though! It's nice to see it come together as a comic, rather than as individual illustrations like I've been doing.
You can actually see me making a rookie mistake in the original inks, Sylvias hand in the first panel is backwards :S.
I'm getting a lot better at inking from a messy sketch though, at first I had to make the sketch almost identical to how I wanted the inks- but you can see with some of these I didn't even define details before I went into ink. Trying to speed up my process before I go into a bigger project :P!
