I'm not sure if you've tried it yet but you could always try a bird species. Some artists have a lot of difficulty with feathers, particularly in tfs.

I know how it is using new tablets and such to draw with. Could always make karigatomon to pair with her, or more rukimon is yum too ^^ Practicing what characters *changed* will look like for your comics might be very productive too! Honestly whatever you enjoy practicing to get good with your tablet, controlling the lineweight and such, I'm sure we all will enjoy and is very nice of you to share with us! ^^
