I always found it easier to plan the pages like this because you can see what came before.
I have a favoured way to draw panels.
Page 2, 11 and 14 where 3 panels are used to show an action. I just personally really like how it looks.
To be honest of all the pages, that part of page 2 and Prom waking in the tub are probably my fave parts.
Process to each page:
I usually sit for a while and think what I want to happen, how I want panels to look. Sometimes i'll pick up a volume of manga and skim it - see if any panel order stands out to me so I can change it up.
Page 6 is an example of that.
I remember a friend of mine went for a review of her portfolio for comic work and they said to nix the diagonal panels as its frowned upon in western comics but I think mangas can be more dynamic and the story they tell with panels and sometimes lack thereof is amazing.
I've gotten more comfortable with panelling now so you see less where i have to make 2 attempts to get it where I want.
Also its bad practice but i only have a general guide of what i want to happen in each chapter - they really should be planned better than what I do x''DD
I do have the doc Asi and I worked on which is in depth but as a whole you should probably script a comic and plan it more thoroughly if you're aiming to print it.
