So
If Prompto was given the option to potentially find a way to save Noctis in the endgame
but there was a high risk he would lose his memories
Would he say yes or no?
i figure he gets moments of clarity
where he remembers snatches of them
but its like a reset every morning
also

This is how they find him
Imagine them seeing the barcode and Prompto doesnt even know what it is
he doesnt even know WHAT he lost his memories for
so he doesnt know to be looking for this reason
I kind of imagine he has dreams during WoR
where he gradually remembers them
Which is a relief for Noct when he returns
like - he went in to the crystal with Prom not knowing who he was
but he's had 10 years
I stil imagine it isnt until theyre in the last fight
that the last piece snaps into place
Ardyn never thought he would remember
They would also have a hard time getting him to stay with them
mostly because he doesnt realise he knows them for a long time but theyre kind to him so that alone is reason to stick around.

Oh man loosing my memories is a huge fear of mine, but Prom would definitely give them up in a heartbeat to save Noct.
