Yeah I don't think Noctis would be feeling particularly magnanimous in this instant. Go die in a hole Ardyn D< Like this was Ardyn's last ditch attempt to blindside Noct and it's such a low blow. So yeah, not so forgiving.

I wonder if he'd even tell Ardyn to rest in peace after that or if it'd be too much seeing Prompto and saying that? But I love the contrast between the two images and Noctis's resolve crumbling in the face of that. Also the contrast of Prompto too, to this fake wearing the wrong clothes to the comforting support that he's always been in the next panel. The grayscale you threw over the second image even furthers it too. Like the sun is supposed to be rising soon, but damn if it doesn't still feel like the World of Ruin in that moment.
