First off, I'd like to welcome Red Husky! Thank you so much for subscribing!
Comic this week: Yes, Riley #3. I hope you all are enjoying the minicomic. I'll be returning to the main series in a couple of weeks.

Playing: WoW and Empyrion: Galactic Survival
Ramble:
I can't always muster up an insightful or mildly interesting few paragraphs. This feels like one of those weeks. Brain be drained. I seem to have mostly recovered from my recent health troubles, but I'm tired and not functioning on 100% mind... goo... today.
Some famous rich guy once said, "the main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing." I think I've talked about it before, but it stays on my mind, and I think of that more often, now, knowing that I've sort of set our (yes, Kiva's story is ours, not exclusively mine) main thing aside for a bit to work on Riley's side thing. I worry that I might be undermining myself, yet again, while I work on said side thing.
But, again, this deviation from the main thing is helping me in a few different ways. For one thing, it's definitely rekindled my interest in continuing the main story, and I hope you are all excited about it too. I mean, I hope you are also enjoying Riley's minicomic. I hope you're enjoying... everything I draw, really. Otherwise, what's the point of sharing them? I imagine I'd probably still draw even if no one liked it, but I certainly wouldn't want to be sharing it if I thought my drawings were making people unhappy.
I guess I do kinda wanna talk about the preview image. Cuz you see, the parts I'm drawing for Kiva's story now were written and planned out years ago, like I've told you all... the thing is, the images I have in my mind for those pages were envisioned within the scope of my artistic capabilities, as they were in 2018-2019. So it's harder for me to deviate from them and try new things, to get myself out of that rut. I would like to do more dynamic camera angles, more interesting panels, to break myself out of the normal things I draw. Riley's minicomic is kinda helping me to try new things, because it's new and less restrictive than the current moments in Kiva's story.
Anyway, like I said, brain be drained this week, and I don't even know if anything I just wrote makes sense... everyone should go play The Stanley Parable.
