Here it is! Honestly it's a little bit before I'm ready for it. I haven't even decided what to call it yet. Like a proper name for this series. So bear with me, there'll probably be a shaky period of time while the details and nuances are figured out.
You know what? I'm open to suggestions for this comic's name. Toss them at me and if I see one I like, maybe we'll just go with it! You'll likely have a better sense for what this comic is about after about page 3-5 or so, but I'll continue to take suggestions until probably Page 5, when the comic goes public.
And here's the big reveal at last (though I've let it slip a few times already): This story is told from Riley's perspective, with all her gremlins on full display.
I've wanted to tell a story from Riley's perspective for years now. To show you all what she sees and what she hears. A story starring her, I felt, would be enhanced if we got to see everything, not just her reacting to things that aren't there. But I've also wanted to show you BOTH those things - at the same time. And I've wanted to do it in a way that isn't too confusing to follow. What I've decided is to present her story as it is, with all her gremlins visible, but also provide an optional version of each page without gremlins so that you can compare Riley's version of reality to the one other people live in.
On the main site, I intend to have a neat little toggle that lets you swap between views, it's actually super cool -- in my head. The software engineers among you will probably sympathize with my husband, who still has to code the crazy thing.
Lastly, this comic is canon, it takes place in Kuserra, and the events herein happen after Kiva's story, when Riley is a bit older.
