Well, I thought I was further along on Page 80 than I really am, so gonna be crunching a little bit today and tomorrow. We've also started working on the early stages of the main site's lore page, which I hope to have up this week. I've been starting to feel like I'm doing a pretty poor job of giving my readers a solid sense of setting through the art alone, and there's a lot of things I can share in a few quick paragraphs that are probably interesting to know, but aren't critical to the story Kiva wants to tell.
I'm honestly wary of sharing too much, but I also don't want to share too little. The original Star Wars trilogy was brilliant because it had just enough information in it to get people hooked, but didn't overexplain everything. Elder Scrolls was brilliant because of its use of unreliable narration, but there was plenty of reliable narration throughout as well. I'm probably overthinking it, but I feel like this is definitely one thing that's worth overthinking when trying to write a story.
It's also my dad's birthday this week! He's my longest and most loyal of Patrons, despite the fact that the whole furry thing is kinda weird. When I started this comic, he printed out one of my early promotional images and framed it. I didn't think much of it at the time, but that was honestly pretty cool. I probably do a pretty poor job of letting my parents know just how much I appreciate how supportive they are of my husband and I. I know that many people don't have that luxury, and I consider myself incredibly lucky and grateful for my family.
