I watched this out of boredom, like you, not knowing a single thing about the movie. I enjoyed your reaction, and I actually enjoyed the movie, laughed alot, a lot of comedies are more miss than hit with me, this one was fun.

Hi VB, in the intro to this video reaction that you've commented on - Cass has mentioned that she may be away for a bit depending on how things are going for her. Perhaps she'll have something new up by the time you've had a chance to enjoy some of the earlier uploads.

Is this channel inactive? I just signed up, but from what I can see the last post was 2 weeks ago.

Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone have done three movies together I believe. 2011 was Crazy, Stupid, Love; 2013 was Gangster Squad; 2016 was La La Land. It’s been said that their chemistry hadn’t been matched since Titanic with Leo and Kate. Not only that but apparently they are VERY good friends IRL....not surprising seeing their romantic time spent in front of the camera AND the obvious spark the camera loves! As always your reactions are priceless and a romcom gave us some that we may not have seen before....from your reaction to “mint chocolate chip” to the adorable banter btw R & E (Hannah & Jacob) to “No, no, no....no, no, no and your cringing. Loved it all. And one of my favorite Romcoms for sure.

Another slightly dark humor rom-com came to mind: Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. Also with Steve Carell. It's one of those movies that I just find myself watching whenever it happens to show up. I don't know why.

Agreed. I did not pick up on the Nana, Hanna-Banana hints they kept dropping, and when the big moment arrived - I was laughing in astonishment. The domestic dispute scene was hilarious

Or, what about Benny and Joon? It's a bit unusual, but given that Cass recently watched What's Eating Gilbert Grape, maybe it would be interesting to see another Jonny Depp movie from that time period?

This movie was a lot of fun. It might be my favorite romcom and I personally think it was pretty cleverly written. In a lot of romcoms the setback toward the end is really aggravating, like how a character is "looking for the right time" to reveal something and just holds onto it until it blows up. But this one felt like it came together a lot more naturally.

I second La La Land!

Ooh, Zombieland has romantic elements, so I need to add that to the list. Lol

Definitely, Maybe is also my favorite romantic comedy. Something’s Gotta Give, Pretty Woman, Annie Hall, Serendipity, and does “There’s Something About Mary” count, if so, it goes to near the top of the list.

Yes, La La Land's great! but I'd also like to see you watch Gangster Squad. It's not a rom-com, but if I were to recommend a few, they'd be:
- 500 Days of Summer
- How Do You Know?
- That Awkward Moment
- Zack and Miri Make a Porno
- Long Shot

Definitely Maybe is one of my favorite Rom Coms if you haven't seen it before. Although since you mentioned that you hadn't seen LaLaLand, that would be fun too.
