Game of Thrones 8x5 FULL Reaction!

Game of Thrones 8x5 FULL Reaction!

Comments

She had just lost 2 dragon children and her 2 best friends. That may have played a part.

Everyone talking about Dani, forgets her father was a "man of the people" as well and he lost it, she lost it when Misandi was killed you can see it in her eyes and on her face she snapped inside, on another note Cass this looked like a devastating episode for you, Love the hair.

I feel like some people only joined Patreon and Discord during season 8 just to rant one more time...

Hell no, why am I even reading those comments? That’s the real madness! I even had to delete Discord for now just because… well, it went kind of annoying! I’m just appreciating how good, on point and emotional Cass’s reaction was! The Cersei/Jamie deaths even made me cry this time because of Cass! What she’s thinking about it is well on point too! Just the right overthought amount of understanding, appreciation, criticism and emotion. Well done! 😊 You don’t need to go rogue every time watching this episode…

Best Episode of the series. Period. That was her breaking point and execution was glorious.

Great reaction cass kinda amazing how one can root for a character for so long ( dani) then they wipe all that out In a split second kinda sucked how that played out tbh, the tyrion / varys scene was heartbreaking as was the tyrion/Jamie scene after all the carnage those moments get forgotten but they were great, anyways I see you're testing out your fancy dress for Halloween cape today what's next I wonder 😉

Please tell me you’re joking? I’m not a dany fan but even I was frustrated at the complete 180 she did throughout these past few episodes. We had 6 seasons of her being strong but fair and merciful to the people, she saved innocents and slaves in order to improve the livelihood of cities and she will be celebrated in those cities forever. As soon as she arrived in Westeros it’s almost like she changed character completely. She became irritable to the point of frustration, she demanded everything from everyone and was ruthless to all who failed her or refused to follow her. Just because her dragons and her friends were killed doesn’t mean she should go around killing innocent lives. Please don’t be just another one of those blind dany supporters that doesn’t agree that her actions were wrong just because she is your favourite character.

Best Episode of the entire show. I also cried so hard because of jaime and cersei. And yeah, dany Supporters are still in complete denial and can only say "rushed", "out of character" etc. Like if 8 seasons of build up isnt enough for you, 8 more wont make a difference either.

DrückebergerTV

Jamie, Season 3: I killed the Mad King and threw away my reputation because he wanted to kill all the innocents in King's Landing. Jamie, Season 8: I never really cared for the innocents. Waaaaahhhh!!!!!! And to people saying that the show dropped hints about Daenerys: when has she ever killed innocent people before? Her whole thing is saving innocent people, not killing them. This was dumb, rushed screenwriting and a total misunderstanding of the character (deliberate or otherwise). And no, this is not her path in the books. Props for this episode for giving us Daenerys attacking in Aegon-at-Harrenhall fashion, and for the callback to The Hound & Arya arriving at The Twins right before the Red Wedding.

Most of your grievances can be chalk up to bad and rushed writing by the creators of the show. They just wanted wrap up move on to their next project.

My Ex Boyfriend

Completely random but Ramin Djawadi (the composer for the show) is a GENIUS, the Cersei theme was one of the reasons I got really emotional at her and Jaime's death. Also cinematography wise this episode was outstanding.

Derek Gigi

“If you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention”.

Sean Carroll

You can’t seriously be defending this shit can you? Dany didn’t need to be a dragon, the innocents weren’t her enemies.

Sean Carroll

“Fuck the water, bring me wine”.

Sean Carroll

Props to Lady Olenna... Dani is a dragon, so be a dragon.

Hidden for now! Don’t want Jackie to see it😊

Dany will always be my favorite character. I was just so shocked by her character's turn. As you said, not shocked at what happened cause they did hint a lot at her going mad (the constant "she's not her father!"), but that that's the direction the writers took w/ Dany's character. Dany pretty much did a 180 in a short period of time, and at the LAST minute decided to burn innocent people? She could have burned the city all along and didn't. For 2 whole seasons, she's been listening to all her advisers and hasn't hurt anyone, but now that she won is when she decides for the first time in her life to burn innocents? I'm sorry but that makes no sense to me.

Mat Targaryen

Raise a glass for the Hound. My favorite character in the entire series

The books have already provided more hints. The show has provided them too, but she has always had people check her. She has always had some blood lust. I completely agree that it was executed poorly in the show, but all the plot points are there. In the books, this won’t come out of left field.

BobJ

Even those reasons that you provide.... They somehow just fall flat... I dunno, it feels like a very lazy, surface level reasoning for her going crazy. I am hoping GRRM delves deep into her psyche

Losing Jorah was the first piece that I did Dany at the end. He was always someone how guided her and she kind of took him for granted for a long time. Then she lost a second dragon. Then she lost Melisandre. She also realized the people loved Jon more than her. The pieces were all there for her snap, but the writing was rushed and sloppy. It is the right ending for the series and I think the books will pull it off so much better

BobJ

Awe you took down the Hodor funko I sent lol

Kathleen815

Great reaction, Cass! Your mega eye roll at Euron showing up out of nowhere to fight Jamie was the same feeling as 90% of fans who watched this episode when it came out.

Jeff I.

True but the first dragon died at the end of season 7...not in the last two episodes before this one.

Kathleen815

I agree the writers did a rushed job making Dany's actions much more severe than the impression she gave earlier in the series. I try to explain it was because in these last 2 episodes she lost 2 dragons and watched her best friend beheaded in front of her. From her point of view that might have flipped her emotions. As far as liking or disliking Cersei and Jaime, Cersei was fun and good to dislike. I didn't hate her like I did Joffrey and Ramsey, even Euron. Jaime was a dislikable in the earlier part of the series but later when he got away from Cersei he was a better person. He disappointed me when he returned to Cersei at the end. Was he trying to save her because she was Cersei or because she was carrying his child? Your reactions Cass were very good. One more episode to go..

GERALD TODD

I loved seeing you care as much as me about the Jamie/Cersei ending. If you can get past the incest of it all, their relationship was well written and believable, and if you think about it, it’s the only romantic relationship that lasted throughout the whole show. The relationship was gross yet endearing, realistic yet strange, long lasting yet fragile, oppressive yet beautiful, and destiny driven yet doomed. Loved every minute of it, and cried and felt it’s end hard (I’ve been watching since 2011 so their TV relationship lasted longer than any relationship I‘ve ever had lol)

Jai Nelson

i dont think there are dany fans that defend her actions. I think there are people who (correctly) criticize the whiplash turn, that was a result of very rushed writing. I believe this is probably where Dany has always been going in the books, but I don't think Bennioff and Weiss are talented enough writers to pull it off. THere are definitely reasons and moments you can point to in the episodes leading up to this one.... but towards season 7 and 8, it just all feels very superficial.
