Poll: WIP CGs to launch updates faster?

Good evening,

This is something I've been meaning to ask for a while, but as Nyaruh was still working on the sprite remakes for the main 3, I didn't feel it was relevant yet. Now that they're finished and out of the way, I need to know.

There's quite a few updates/plot points that require art assets to be written. For instance, part of the reason I took a long time to launch the last Haruki update (and will take a little while to write the next one also) is because I need CGs for it, and Nyaruh has been quite pressed for time as of late, in great part because the sprite remakes were so high complexity that they took forever to be made to an appropriate quality level with all their tiny variations of extra features (and also because she has to juggle her own personal commission queue and can't afford to dedicate all her time to TA). Because of that, I need to know:

Would you guys accept if updates sometimes were launched with unfinished art assets—be they in a sketch phase, lineart phase, flat color, whatever it may be—if it's for the sake of getting stuff out without needing to pad the story or rejigger plot points to get the art assets to come out with the correct plot beats? Would it bother you if it were done that way?

I'm making this a poll, but it won't necessarily be a rule of majority decision. I would like people to give me actual written feedback on this, because even if 70% of people were okay with it, if the 30% that aren't hate it so much that they'd consider unpledging because of it, it is not really an avenue I can freely explore.

Comments

Personally prefer finished CGs over WIPs, I've seen many a VN put them in with the promise of replacing them and never seem to (I doubt you will ever do this mind you). I had to check, but I have been part of your pateon since July 2019 apparently, happy to have fewer but more complete updates over more frequent but partly incomplete ones.

I'm probably a bit of an oddity here, but I am absolutely fine with you waiting for art assets to be finished and taking your time on updates. No need to pad story or rework timings, as long as you keep open lines of communication and progress gets made, I don't see a need for "monthly" updates.
