Update @ 11:15PM CST on 8/31/2022: Hello Everyone! Another busy week with a surprise niece babysitting session over the weekend but managed to sit down today and hash out another animation sketch for an event. This one is of the haigure hypno dance which will be part of a hypnosis app progressive event. It still needs plenty of cleanup and secondary animation but it was faster to put together this time around than the oral animation.
I'm hoping to do a few of these sketches for more practice doing these small loops and I'm happy that they are coming together pretty well so far.

Update @ 9:00PM CST on 8/23/22: Hello Everyone! Just a quick status update on the asset creation process. I finished up the standing images and am moving on to doing some more proof of concept with small looping animations that will play during certain On Map Events / Progressive Events.
The first was a simple oral animation that will play during one of the optional events during the intro. It is still a bit of work in progress as this is just the sketch and some more detailing/clean up still needs to occur but it is a decent start. I will be doing another animation for an On Map Event for the first dungeon as well but I am still working through the concepts for it.
Progress was a little slow over the last week or so due to the kiddo turning 1 year old and throwing them a little birthday party over the weekend. We also had a wedding to attend over the weekend as well so it was pretty packed.

Hello Everyone!
Been debating on when to post about this properly given I am still working through all the art assets needed for the typical Minimal Viable Product (MVP) to showcase the new game; however, since posts have started to fall off for a few months I believe it is time to start addressing the new project and the current status of Mira Co Rescue.
First things first, Mira Co Rescue is currently on hiatus as I switch focus to a smaller, solo protagonist game given that my free time with raising the kiddo is much harder to focus on creating the content for Mira Co Rescue with how many characters appear and planning. It is still my passion project that I will always return to when I can better schedule time to continue working on it but it is at a stage of development that it has plenty of content already and was a good learning experience making games. It will be an ongoing project that I add more content to when I can but will be taking a backseat as I focus on creating new content at a better workflow pace over the last month of creating assets for it. I know it will be a little bit disappointing to hear it is on a longer hiatus but I still want to deliver game content rather than just put everything on hold.
Next, the new project is called Captura City and it features AnkhronoGame's mascot Ankhrono-Tan as the solo protagonist. The game's plot revolves around Ankhrono-Tan needing to pay off the large debt she has racked up due to neglecting her royal duties as Mummy Queen and her rather expensive habits. Her loyal advisor and source of her magic, Thot, tells her about the city of lewd opportunities, Captura City, where she can do all sorts of lewd activities for money.
Ladies here can register their Sexual Availability as "Open" which marks them with a special tattoo which allows just about anything lewd to happen to them and get paid for their services. Ankhrono-Tan can wander the city and find plenty of progressive events that can lead to all sorts of situations which would be considered game overs in Mira Co Rescue; however, she can back out of them and continue exploring the city for more lewd things to do. Mechanically, many of the game over situations will be playable giving the player the opportunity to see what Ankhrono-Tan is up to after falling for whatever situation is presented to her.
Conversations will have dialogue images for Ankhrono-Tan with various expressions and NPC images with the more prominent/named NPCs.
In addition, a familiar face runs the outfit shop which changes what Ankhrono-Tan's standing picture is on the game screen. The outfit shop owner also tasks Ankhrono-Tan with gathering materials from various dungeons to make new outfits for her instead of paying money for them which allows the player either find events in the city, delve into dungeons with Mira Co Rescue styled combat with battle sprites, or both.
Combat has changed slightly from Mira Co Rescue given the solo party member makes it harder to balance the lewd battle sprites and player agency. Where sprites in Mira Co Rescue locked characters from use if in a Full State peril, Captura City has a new 3 life system and state stacking that allows Ankhrono-Tan to continue fighting even when in peril.
The system still functions on the Half Sprite / Full Sprite for the initial Normal / Naked state stacking; however, the new system now has sprites for using Sexual Dominance when in full peril (Peril Sprite of Ankhrono-Tan taking a more dominant role and enjoying the peril), 'Bliss' Sprite (when 0HP but still has continues), and Defeat Sprite (when 0HP with no continues).
When Ankhrono-Tan is not in peril she has unique sprites that appear during various basic actions as well for attacking, defending, taking damage, getting downed with continues, and being defeated. I might make a small video showing this system in action but have attached the current battle sprites I have finished.
This project is also a bit more collaborative with others as well working with other creators to have specific events/characters/and situations appear. While Mira Co Rescue avoided having cameos too often, Captura City has more opportunities for this given it is a city where all sorts of people visit.

Free time with raising the kiddo is a tricky thing to balance between my usual 9-5 full time job and game dev so I hope this new project is something people can look forward to experiencing in the meantime while I slowly regain the momentum and free time that Mira Co Rescue originally had.
