8/23 Update - Baby Status, Side Event Ideas, Current Plans

Hello Everyone!

BABY

Our baby was born on 8/18 and we are back at home adjusting to raising her quite well so far.  So far so good on getting some semblance of sleep from the sounds of it so I am hoping to get some sketches done this week to at least keep drawing in some capacity.

PLANS

I am going to switch focus to some Side Events for a little bit due to having smaller sprints of time to be able to work on images for a set amount of time.  That said, we may also do sketches of various Collective Mothership Battle Sprites (Still have the Cybergirls) and the remaining Bio-Entity related On Map Events and other On Map Events.

I'll also be doing a bit more with working on the programming as this latest debug room/WIP build really was quite rushed in a way which has some spaghetti code I'd rather clean up before programming the full zone to completion.

With this, I'll be testing more functionality with the Collective Suit and combat functions, actor tags, and other various things to hopefully program Selena as the main character of this zone and not break everything.  Had a few thoughts on how to do this so I just need to experiment a bit and it makes sense to do this while I have small sessions to putz around.

SIDE EVENT PLANNING

In terms of the Side Event, I was thinking I'd continue the Vending Machine side event where Mira kicks the vending machine outside of Succ or Bust in Hopewell Harbor.  It will have two more parts with the last having a potential game over associated with it.  I'm still brainstorming a bit with part two and how I wanted to do it.

So far the ideas are as follows.  SPOILERS for those that want to avoid it, skip this next section.

Vending Machine:

Part 1 - Mira kicks the machine which shocks her and puts her inside the machine using her mana to make the special Succ or Bust Mana Restoration Drink.

Part 2 - (WIP/Brain Storming) - The machine addresses Mira by name when warning her about kicking the machine after getting jammed and the player has the choice to kick it or leave it be.

Idea A - An altered machine which transforms to place Mira inside.  After Mira kicks the machine again, she dodges the electric shock from before only for the machine to transform to capture her.  The interior contains way more implements to stimulate Mira with some interactivity from the buyers of the vending machine.

Idea B - After Mira kicks the machine again, she dodges the electric shock from before only for the machine to transform to capture her.  This time, she is made into a temporary, rentable product of Succ or Bust and is placed in a 'relief' station where the vending machine was.  (Alternative would be a room in Succ or Bust or the male bathroom in the park which is usually locked and is instead some sort of 'special event' for Succ or Bust)

Idea C - After Mira kicks the machine again, she dodges the electric shock from before only for the machine to transform to capture her.  This time she is labeled as a temporary product of Succ or Bust and is made into a mana battery to power the shops various special 'interactive' displays that they set up.  Guests would be testing various devices which Mira is also hooked up to which stimulates her and drains her of mana.

Part 3 - The machine addresses Mira as "M-001" (Product Designation) when it jams the third time and warns her of severe disciplinary action of repeated offenses and is given the choice to kick it or not again.

If Mira kicks the machine, instead of shocking her it applies a marked collar to her neck.  She tries to get it off but can't and decides to head home not wanting to be seen with it on.  Later that night she is abducted by disciplinary staff and put in heavy bondage and taken to a corrective facility.  She undergoes several procedures and training before being debuted as a special, permanent product of Succ or Bust.  Selena and Hemmy witness her debut and can also interrupt/kick the machine (causes a game over where Selena and Hemmy are also converted into products) or talk to management.

If they talk to management you can avoid the bad end but still see the 'full' side event of Mira.  Staff will warn that if Mira does it again there are no second chances.  If the player triggers the kick event again, it automatically causes Hemmy and Selena to intervene and triggers the game over with slightly altered text.

Those are the ideas so far, let me know if you have any opinions or other ideas/things you'd like to see during these events like kinks, specific ties/positions/etc.  Always fun to incorporate things if it aligns with the games themes!
