2020-05-05 08:57:13 +0000 UTCI identify with very few characters (or real people, for that matter, even if I can relate to them) but I just have to say that right here Olive's tentativeness in intimacy makes my scared, neurotic little soul reach out from its fetal position and feel connection for just a moment. And it's honestly kind of tragic; I think it's rare because I'm unable to really identify with men or most cis women characters, and that there are so few trans wlw characters and fewer professional artists who do it *right*. I'm consistently surprised with how well Olive is handled as a trans girl, especially when it comes to physical intimacy, at a level that I would find difficult to do justice in my writing even with first-hand experience.
