Jazz-up Your Blues - Classy IV to I Lick in C

Hello friends,

I hope you're all enjoying a beautiful Saturday morning and having an excellent week of practice. For today, here's a mini-lead lesson just for you, my generous patrons. In this session, I've broken down an elegant transition lick in the key of C, which provides a seamless transition between the F7 and C7 chords. Lastly, we also have a classic jazz-blues ending riff to add to our weekend practice. Let's get started! - Rob

This is a great little lick but for me, wrapping the thumb over to hit the low E for the C7 doesn't work so well. To get a C in that chord, I've been barring the 8th fret to cover the high E string. A slightly different sound but I think it works.

to understand. thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent

Rob, just signed up for a trial run. I really enjoy your teaching stye. It's straightforward and easy

Hello, Rob!! Tks for this exclusive lesson! I'm far behind these licks, transitions etc., but your lessons motivate me to get started.. and I will, even if it's for sheer practice until I can really take my time to start learning!! Also, I'd like to thank you for your song lessons that help me build my slowly increasing repertoire!!

So glad you enjoyed this Steve, have a great day of practice! -Rob

Thanks Chris!
