and welcome to another by request song tutorial. In today's session I'm joined by singer Caroline Kane for a demonstration and complete breakdown of Joni Mitchell's 1970 classic "Big Yellow Taxi. This tune features a basic 1.4.5 chord progression performed in DADF#AD tuning, and a variety of percussive strumming options. I'll take you through the tunes iconic intro riff, before breaking down the chord shapes and rhythms for the verse and chorus sections. Let's get started!

2018-09-06 16:56:38 +0000 UTCHi Rob. Impressive stuff. What a great song. I'm a little confused by the tuning, though. You say in the video that it is "DAD F#AD" tuning, but above you have DAF#DAD. I assume the video is right, as that would be much easier to tune to (down a step, no change, no change, down a half-step, down a step, down a step). Thanks for all that you do!
