And welcome to part two of my lesson series on Cat Steven's "Father and Son." In this session I'm going to break down a beginner friendly approach to soloing over the tunes instrumental section. Most of these licks will be drawn directly Cat's vocal melody, and found within the G major scale in C position. Let's get started!
