Easy Songs For Guitar | A-ha "Take On Me" Acoustic Lesson

Hello friends,

and welcome to another by request song tutorial! When 80's pop icons a-ha dropped their acoustic rendition of their 1984 classic "Take on Me," I immediately started getting request for how to play it. In this session, I'll take you through a complete demonstration of the the tune, and break down my arrangement for solo performance. Let's get started!

Tone Update:

For the last few weeks I have been experimenting with Ernie Ball's new Aluminum Bronze Strings and I must say, these are some of the best sounding acoustic strings I have ever used. They deliver a bright, yet balanced tone, pleasant feel, and extended longevity, everything I look for in an acoustic guitar string. Highly recommended!

Comments

If we listen together with original, chorus cords sounds odd, more close would be "G F#/D Em F# (just low E string once), G F#D E C, ..."

I also agree with this. Strumming patterns on worksheets would be nice

It would be much more helpful if you PDF tabs included ALL of the strumming patterns and picking patterns tabbed out, it is specifically why I signed up on Patreon but I still have to watch the whole youtube video and transcribe it myself. Is it possible to use more of the format that guitarzero2hero uses in their videos where they do a playthrough the the tabs and strumming patterns on the screen? (your videos are really good still please don't be offended :-).

Yeah, I instantly fell in love with this version, like it even more than the original. Enjoy!

I really like this version. Can't wait to learn it. Thanks.
