Bob Dylan "Dont think Twice, Its Alright" - New Chord/Tab Sheet

Hello friends,

As some of you may have learned from my Instagram, I'm nursing an unfortunate injury to my hand. This means that I will be focusing on creating chord/tab sheets, and updating my Intro to Guitar ebook while I heal.

For this weeks practice, let's revisit Bob Dylan's 1963 classic "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright." I've attached a new chord sheet and tablature to go along with my 2014 lesson, however, I plan to film a revamped version sometime soon.

Thank you in advanced for your patience and support as I take care of this injury, I promise that it won't slow me down! Let's get started!

Thanks for the clarification.

Many times I skip it, especially if I’m singing a wordy phrase or preparing to transition to the next chord. Technically it’s part of the pattern, but optional.

To G or not to G When you are playing in the beginning it doesn't appear you are plucking the final G of the Travis pick with your index finger. But in the tutorial and your Tab sheet you say to pluck it.

With a 7 element finger picking pattern...I feel learning to play Don't think twice...I'm well on my way...Yes I did the 1500 times...I can pick it while daydreaming but not yet talking...away from the rhythmic 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 cadence..."a few more days practice"....Might I suggest Donovan...a fine picker....COLORS...and one he did on an album TINY BALARINA...Just joined.. Your OLDEST Student no doubt...Was a "3 chord folksinger" in the days of the Kingston Trio.....Gave it up...now re-learning...Found Ron Swift SUPERIOR...clarity of demonstration coupled with clarity of explanation...along with the tabs...everything you need to learn...The rest is just a lot of hard work by the student...I can see that...along with constant REPETITION....THank you for your dedication as a teacher... I felt GUILTY getting free lessons without CONTRIBUTING I live in S.E. Asia currently Indonesia...2 tier log in can be a nightmare with telephone verification...cannot get into my Facebook account because they send codes to a Thailand sim card...Noted you want a country of residence (REQUIRED)...I have three so ex pats don't fit the profile nor computer log in requisites.. "I say that because I am tired & frustrated of not getting into sites...who ask for TELEPHONE VERIFICATION..

Thanks for letting me know Brian, that link didn't need to be there, the "mobile link" works on both device types now. Enjoy!

"Click to Download Tabs" link seems to be broken and takes you "home." But if it's all the same the mobile link works fine. Great work as always!

I found everything after seeing your latest video on navigating this website, thanks. No need to respond, at least this time

It sounded nice, I was expecting the TABS as promised. When I then open the pdf I get the CHORD PROGRESSION!! :-( and a one liner with INTRO TAB and RIFF OVER Gmaj ..... disappointing! I want the complete tune TAB!

Sorry about your injury Rob, wish you well to recover soon! Rest well, take care😊

i love your lessons......helping me thru a tuff breakup right now..peace

I don't know that's much about harmonicas, but I do know they'd come in different keys

Hey rob, do you know what key the harmonica playing is in ? A "G" harmonica b.

FM

Those are the alternating or passing bass notes. Technically it changes the name of the chord when a bass note alternates. I wanted everyone to know which word this variations come in and what they should be called. Thanks Rod!

Hi Rob, In the tab what are the grey notations? For example C is in blue followed by C/G in Grey. Thanks in advance.
