[Early Release] Advanced "Stand by Me" Lesson - Percussive Rhythm, Bassline, and Hendrix Style Licks

Hello friends,

Let's keep this Patrons only lesson on the down low for now... In this new By Request song tutorial, I'll show you how to perform a more advanced version of Ben E. King's 1962 classic "Stand By Me." In this revamped version, I'll demonstrate a percussive version of our pop strumming pattern, combined with Lloyd Trotman's iconic bassline. For the more advanced students, I've filled in the tunes instrumental section with some of my favorite Hendrix style licks. Chord sheet and tabs are now available. Enjoy!

This is the reason I joined. Love this version.

Very nice. Thank you!

Thanks for the tabs! Love this one!

ROB, thanks for the tabs, having fun!

Tabs are up!

Love this! looking forward to getting the tabs. I find that I am having to finger the Amaj the regular way and mute with my little finger due to maybe smaller fingers and lack of finger strength to get clear sound on all strings your way.

Hey Phil, thanks, glad you're digging the lesson. I'll have the tabs available ASAP!

Rod, would love to have the tabs for the lead licks. Great instrumental, really enjoy the bas and percussive elements to this song.

Another good one, Rob! Thanks
