Update: August 2022 and Physical Health

Hello everyone. I am making this post as I feel it is imperative to update everyone on my current situation.

Work this July has been busy, far busier than any other month in my life so far. At the same time, not a moment of it has been unpleasant. I have had an amazing time working with everyone, and it has been an experience I would never trade for anything. However at the start of the month, I started to suffer pain in my dominant hand that led me to seriously worry. After a week and a half, the pain was going away, but as of yesterday the pains have returned. It is clear that over this last commissions cycle, I have put excessive tension and strain on my dominant hand, and now I am dealing with the repercussions of it. Whether this is a repetitive motion injury or tendonitis, I cannot say for sure. Thankfully, from the people I have consulted with, this does not seem to be the symptoms of nerve damage. Even then, this is something I need to be wary of and monitor closely.

In light of this, I need to begin taking better caution and care of my physical health. If this pain in my dominant hand were to worsen, I may no longer be able to draw at all, or at the very least not without permanent reliance on something like a wrist brace.

Posts will not stop as we head into August, and I will not be going on hiatus. This update is to simply state that work may slow down over the coming weeks as I try to let my hand heal, and to find a better work flow that lessens future strain on my hand and wrist. Patreon poll art pieces are still in the pipeline, and there will be no sacrifices of their original vision despite the setbacks.

Thank you again to each and every one of you. None of this would be possible without the incredible support of every Patron, no matter how big or small the pledge. I am truly honored, and I will never forget it.

Thank you again so much, and here is to a better August. I can't wait to see you all there.
