You could try starting with the two most popular ones in the west, Death Note (37 episodes) and Fullmetal Alchemist:Brotherhood (64 episodes). Code Geass (2 Seasons total 50 episodes) is also one of the greats (My personal favorite of all time). But it has an older style and it's politically heavy and starts off a bit slow but the payoff is worth it. Both of them have basically the best english dub, as anime are usually meant to be watched in sub but dub is way easier to enjoy since you don't have to be reading constantly and a lot of them have amazing dubs. Death Note is on Netflix but there's also plenty of sites you can find them on. I personally use https://4anime.gg/.
