So the ladies are entitled to their views. I personally think Walt is a fascinating character, however he is an anti hero. Most of the stuff he does you can't side with him on a morally standpoint (I think the ladies are viewing it feom this point) but the intelligence is something to admire. The end of the day this is a TV show but an awesome one at that. All the best to you dude

The whole point of the entire show is to start off loving him and end up hating him, that is pretty much what the creators want. I'm not even sure, based on what transpires in future episodes, how you COULD like him...

Your guys hatred for Walt is blinding you to the obvious narrative being presented. 1. Walt never said he “wished” Jesse ended up in a barrel, but rather he presumed he would because he would fail. So Jesse had it wrong. 2. You’ve let Walt and Jesse’s animosity toward one another keep you from still seeing they both care about each other. Each of them had a conversation with Gus demonstrating that clearly 3. Walt seemed weak and feeble when brought out to the desert but then flipped into the maniacal genius that he is. He hasn’t seen what we as viewers have seen and yet he can piece everything together. First he figured out Gus staged the attack that prompted Jesse to “protect” Mike, then he pieces together that Gus was operating under Jesse’s wishes even AFTER realizing someone else cooked in the lab. 4. And finally, just when it was clear that Walt still was operating under a concern for his family, you guys briefly empathized then went right back into scoffing at him. I cannot wait to see you ladies eat your words as this show goes on.
