[Frog] Chapter 385: Rocket Sells Out His Teammate

After dropping that shocking statement, Ayesha vanished before their eyes, boarded her ship, and set course back to Sovereign.

She left behind a very confused Guardians of the Galaxy—along with two very jealous women.

"W-Wait... wait a minute!"

Quill furrowed his brows as he slowly stepped out.

"So... what the High Priestess meant was—she likes Emperor?"

Rocket let out a sigh of relief.

For a moment, he really thought Ayesha was going to drag him back to Sovereign and put him on trial for stealing.

But it turned out, that wasn't the case.

"What's so surprising about that?"

Rocket smirked.

"Even the Goddess of Death, Hela, basically offered Asgard as a dowry to Emperor. Speaking of which..."

His mischievous little mind started working.

Leaping onto the table, Rocket shot a sly grin at Alan, who had just taken off his armor.

"If both Asgard’s treasure vault and Sovereign’s batteries belong to you... does that mean I can just take whatever I want?"

Asgard was full of ancient weapons, all ridiculously powerful.

Rocket was already imagining how he could modify them to be even better.

"D-Dowry?!"

Alan broke into a cold sweat.

Was this damn raccoon trying to sell him off?

How the hell did he suddenly become Ayesha’s chosen one?

And—becoming Sovereign’s king?!

Absolutely not!

If he had to choose, he'd definitely pick Hela over Ayesha.

At least she looked like a human.

With Ayesha, he’d have to sleep next to a golden, glowing person every night.

How was he ever supposed to fall asleep like that?!

And what if the sun was shining directly on them?

He’d be blinded for sure!

"What? You don’t like the idea?"

Rocket tilted his head.

He thought his logic was flawless—after all, Alan would be securing two thrones at once.

"Of course not."

Alan sighed.

Living with these idiots meant never having a peaceful day.

"It's boring here on Earth."

Nebula suddenly spoke up.

She was a space pirate before joining the Guardians, and honestly, she was itching to get back into action.

Drax nodded in agreement.

He was much more suited to roaming the vast universe than staying in one place.

"You guys want to head back to the galaxy first?" Alan asked, looking at Quill and the others.

"I can’t leave just yet—there are still things I need to take care of."

He still needed to introduce Scott to Stark and confirm that he had successfully completed his mission.

Until then, he couldn’t leave Earth.

Meanwhile, aboard her ship, Ayesha sat on her throne, deep in thought about Alan’s words.

It seemed she needed to recruit more warriors.

She would also have to prepare additional combat drones—just in case they really did have to face off against Thanos.

"High Priestess... you don’t really believe Emperor, do you?"

One of her attendants hesitated before voicing her doubt.

"Could he have just been making up that story to get rid of us?"

She found it hard to believe that Thanos would dare to mess with the Sovereign.

Did he really want to make an enemy out of their entire race?

"No..."

Ayesha shook her head.

"Emperor has no reason to deceive us."

His rejection had been clear and direct—there was no attempt at using grand, flowery words to smooth things over.

"Thanos' reputation in the galaxy is well-known—he’s a complete lunatic."

Ayesha had never liked Thanos.

All for the sake of his so-called "vision," he was willing to wipe out entire populations, claiming it would bring "balance" to the universe.

She despised such methods.

Alan’s warning made sense.

It was better to be prepared.

If they took precautions now, they wouldn’t have to fear Sovereign being destroyed in the future.
