One excellent feature of the Sapphic Slumber Parties is the clothing swap.

Upstairs in the blue room we have a dressing area set up for perusing these gently-used finds. Guests are encouraged to bring special clothing (particularly lingerie and fetish-wear) that they don’t want/need/fit anymore. Bodies are always changing and it’s so nice to see a beloved piece adorn someone else you adore.

Lingerie, dresses, tops, bottoms, accessories, everyone tries to steal a few moments peeking at the offerings. Sometimes babes come back downstairs in a whole new outfit they found in the swap space! (Mars is really good at finding a second-hand outfit on theme.)

Once in a while you find something you really love Some of my favourite pieces of clothing are from the slumber party clothing swaps. (Like my lucky horse dress!) I feel like they’re imbued with extra magic because they come from this powerful gathering.

After the slumber party I collect what’s left and donate it to a local women’s shelter, or clothing drive. It’s win-win for everyone.

All this to say I found this adorable set last fall at the slumber party and it fits my spring bod like a glove. (And the ruffles on the straps? Divine!) I was trying on potential outfits today for our next event and this is definitely a candidate.
