1. It’s moving weekend for Max! We’re in the sticks at her old place packing up (the dog came with us for one last big backyard bonanza). Then the moving trucks come and we unpack in the new place. Next week she’ll be local!
2. This means it’s our last time having the big empty basement with plush carpet to wrestle on…. So I brought several cute wrestling outfits.
3. Visiting with Kitten was GLORIOUS! She looks so beautiful and just hearing her voice and seeing her smile was delightful. I also got to meet her partner and he’s so warm, and so kind-hearted.
4. I talked to my parents about meeting Max! Please stay tuned for that anxiety producing awkwardness! Meeting your recently divorced 39 year old daughter’s butch lesbian girlfriend is not something my parents were expecting, but I have a feeling it will be just fine. My father will be wildly inappropriate, but it will be fine.
5. My therapist gave me some great advice this week about not compromising my polyamorous identity, and I was reminded again how lucky I am to have a therapist who practices ethical non monogamy. I found her over a decade ago when I googled “polyamorous therapist” and found the link to the PsychologyToday website where you can enter your city and find lgbt, poly, and kink friendly therapists who practice close by.
6. Things are finally opening up and in less than 2 weeks I’m finishing my floral bouquet tattoo on my arm! I love the artist who did the original bouquet and went to consult about doubling the size in December 2019… I booked my appointment for April and you know the rest. It’s been cancelled and rescheduled 4 times now due to pandemic closures. BUT I think this time I’m golden. I can’t wait, I’ve been craving the permanence and the pain. All of the big changes in my life deserve some ink documentation.
7. Any sapphic Patrons who are interested in attending the September slumber party can send me a message for more details!
