Nihilist Teddy Bear Says Hi ♥️

Here is a list of shit that has happened in the past two weeks:

• I had to lecture my kids’ dad about his lax covid practices and the risk he was bringing to our household by having so much exposure. 🙄
• I gritted my teeth while he mentioned he was off the wagon and no longer working actively towards sobriety, as well as the casual mention that he’s dating during the lockdown my city is under. 🤬
• Picked up the phone a few days later when he called ABSOLUTELY PANICKED because he’d been exposed to COVID-19 during his weekend off. 😑
• Did all the extra childcare for an extra week when he had to self-isolate and test and miss his weekday and weekend visits. 💕
• Found out my kids will be off school for 3 weeks due to quarantine closures. 🙈
• Decided to bring the kids with me to Max’s place for the weekend (she’s in our household bubble) to get a change of scenery. As we were getting in the truck I said “let me take the dog to pee quick” and she promptly was sprayed by a skunk right in her pretty little face!!! 🤢
• Unpacked the car and kids and dealt with the skunk dog situation (shout out to Max for jumping into action, being a great teammate, and being a shining light during a stinky crisis). 😵
• Finally got to Max’s place late that night only for the power to be out in her city. Hahaha. 🕯
• Went to the drive-in one town over and got legitimately lost when I went to the washroom mid-movie because all the pick up trucks look the same in the dark and I didn’t know Max’s licence plate. Yeah. I was the weirdo who can’t see well at night who had to get wayyyyy too close to look in people’s trucks to realize it wasn’t my people. 🥺
• Came home to find out my dishwasher is broken and can’t be repaired and one my kiddos needs orthodontics yiiiiiikes. 🤑
• Had a devastating conversation with my Grandfather about how much my grandmother was suffering in her last few months. 😢
• Had some heavy talks with Max about our compatibility and what our future looks like. 😔
• Navigated all of this while dealing with a suddenly booming work-at-home schedule. 😬
• Got this perfectly sweet bear in the mail from Adam JK’s PenPal club. It was the perfect gift at the perfect time and I love him and his depressing message. 🐻♥️

Apologies if I’ve been quieter around here lately, it’s been overwhelming and I don’t have a lot left to give at the end of the day. I’m looking forward to some time off, some new photos with O, and some time in the woods next month, as well as a couple giveaways!
