1. I took this shot for Max and texted it to her with the caption Views from the 6. (This is clever because she’s a Drake fan, this is her favourite view, and more importantly I live in the 6 and she doesn’t.)

2. It’s almost my birthday! Counting down the minutes until I turn 39. I’m alone on the couch with my ankle up cuddling my pooch and drinking Italian soda. Not bad.

3. My ankle is (mercifully) not broken! Just a bad sprain. Thank fuck! I’ve been more mobile today, and the pain is much more manageable after spending the weekend recouperating at Max’s place.

4. Getting back home Sunday night reminded me why taking time away was important. There are so many jobs to do around this house, and even though the kids are old enough to help out, it’s hard to rest when you’re a parent. Especially single parenting!

5. All my birthday plans were cancelled because they required walking... and tomorrow my husband and I have to discuss the schedule and check in. Boooooooo. I’m gonna get stoned and order take out after that though. And watch Portrait of a Lady on Fire for the 5th time. Fuck it.

6. I haven’t seen Eden in MONTHS because of covid restrictions, but she came by today and brought this incredible box of crystals and sage. It was such a thoughtful and beautiful gift. And hugging her was SO necessary. You know how some people just have good energy? That’s Eden.

7. Mars is apparently exceptionally close tonight! Go outside! Look for the big ass star lookin thing!
