1. Puddle pants. Remember these from your toddler years? I found them in big girl sizes. With Care Bears on ‘em. They’re very little and cute.
2. Shout out to my girlfriend for spending 2 and a half hours on the phone with me yesterday when I was in crisis. She listened, and she distracted me with stories about her slutty dating days, which are my very favourite. She was at work and still made it feel like it wasn’t a chore. She insisted on being there for me. (Even though before this week she didn’t know about these struggles behind the scenes.)
3. My mom casually said during a chat that she wishes she had a wife. I giggled and she said “not in a gay way, I just want to share my life with a woman.” I told her that sounded pretty gay. She isn’t attracted to women sexually, but she loves the way women do companionship and care giving. It was an interesting point I hadn’t expected to hear from her.
4. Monday is Joie’s birthday! She’s going to drive over and do a socially distant dance party in front of my house. I haven’t seen her in 4 months and I can’t wait to see her face and her sweet dance moves. (Joie can do the MC Hammer dance like nobody’s business.)
5. I have my first therapy session in years on Tuesday and it couldn’t come quickly enough. I’m so glad I made the appointment two weeks ago. It couldn’t have come at a better time.
6. I’m super excited about my little prize giveaways this week! I think we could all use some fun. Stay tuned Monday for the first prize post.
7. Black Lives Matter and ACAB. I’ve been making donations to bail funds and community activist groups, The Minnesota Freedom Fund is listing local organizations to help rebuild and bring help to those who need it most. If you can help in anyway, this is an important time to do so. Be safe out there.
