As far as the CRT filter, it definitely gives a lot of nostalgia for me, but this game looks great without, unlike some other games, so I could go either way. Also, since you already beat Eastern Palace, those blocks after you got the big key could be pushed as a shortcut. Blocks are weird in this game and I don't think the game explains them. You push them by holding the dpad toward them without grabbing them, but they usually only can be pushed in a single direction. You pushed a number of them like that in the first episode, but might not remember.
