Restoring The Light to Hyrule & A Dark Vision | The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess [Part 7]

I love the journey to find Ilia & help the Zora child because since it has multiple steps and spans across multiple areas of Hyrule it helps add to the grand nature of the adventure you are on. I think It’s cool that the last bug is a boss since clearing out the twilight is such a big deal & I have to say this game is great at making Gross enemies. The lore drop for the twilight tribe starting off with the creation story from OOT (I think you’re right it’s the same music) only to have a really dark twist is 1 of the coolest thing in this game especially the animation choices like characters having fully white eyes with no pupils, characters not moving quite right or moving in realistic but disturbing ways as well as just dark subject matter like murder/betrayal. I think I had nightmares as a kid because of the multiple laughing Ilia’s LOL. I interpret Link being in the vision as the spirit giving him something familiar to make it easier to understand/emphasize the evil the temptation of power can create with even Midna agreeing showing that even she has nuance. I actually really like the flying mini game a lot but I understand the frustration I like it because it’s interesting that Midna being from the twilight can control twilight creatures. The characters in this are not the most complex but I like the bits of depth shown through small things like Ilia’s large amount of empathy with how even without her memories as soon as she sees someone who needs help she doesn’t hesitate. I love how the escort mission is more focused on action because not always but a lot of escort type stuff is tedious but this is fun although frustrating at times. Telma has a crazy design but I appreciate that her sexual design is not there for no reason but a sign of her confidence & being comfortable with her sexuality still a little wild though. Awesome part & keep up the great work. :-) <3

This was the first game I ever played as a child. It took me three years to get past the carriage mission. My tiny child brain was incapable of the necessary multitasking required to shoot the those damn birds

One of my favorite aspects of the Zelda games is how innocent they can be while also holding tons of space for dark scary creepy and esoteric stuff it’s so sick

43:00 is gorgeous but also absolute nightmare fuel.
