2025-02-14 09:51:36 +0000 UTCThe Links situation is a bit more nuanced, but basically all the Links share the same "spirit of the hero" That's spirit in similar regards to the "spirit of competition" where it's an ideology not like an afterlife/reincarnation type of metaphysical/supernatural spirit. All of this makes a lot more sense once you've played a few more of the games released between N64 and Switch (including this one). They really got into their overarching lore after Ocarina, where everything sort of split into branching timelines. - Kid Link after you go back at the ending is one branch, because you change the timeline and prevent the events of OoT from happening. - Adult Link after you save the day is another branch, because THAT Hyrule still exists. - The third and final branch is the one where you fail to stop Ganondorf (any Game Over screen results in this timeline). All three actually converge back into the same timeline with Breath of the Wild, so the fun part is that you can play any of the games and they will all result in ending up in BotW's events. Nintendo is crazy.

2025-02-14 03:18:24 +0000 UTCSo, the Link being a descendent isn't exactly correct. The idea is that Ganon is the same evil malevolent force, often reborn into an avatar, but sometimes the same body. He persists after every defeat to come back again. Zelda is the name for every princess in the Hylian royal line. So, closer to what you were saying about Link at the end of this episode. So, every Zelda is basically the descendent of every Zelda before her. Link is more of a mantle of sorts given to the Hero who chooses to step forth to fight the malevolent force. It's why you usually get to name Link at the beginning of every game. Power persists. Wisdom is passed down. Courage is a choice to take action.

2025-02-11 16:34:13 +0000 UTCI love the prison break section it’s cool & does a great job of representing the atmosphere of this game with it being scary and unsettling especially thanks to the music which I agree has a horror feeling. I love the design of Link’s wolf form it looks awesome & I like how the movement/controls in Wolf form is not that different/harder then as a human and it’s just really fun moving/fighting as a Wolf in this game with what you saw this part. I love Midna as a character as soon as you said they have gremlin I was just chaotic, gremlin energy? Yep that’s them and I love the design & since you noticed the language Midna uses sounds cool. I love how the monsters & lighting of the world covered in twilight just feels unnatural & unsettling it definitely leaves an impact. The design of Zelda in this is awesome & I really like that it is a more serious take on her. It’s sad that she was put in an impossible choice having to allow her people to live but suffer as spirits that’s a crazy amount of guilt. Also I agree Zant’s outfit is awesome. I like the lead up to becoming a human again & I love the system of restoring light before you get to be human it’s more of that light versus darkness stuff in Zelda. Also nice bit of lore for this game with how a blue eyed beast is a sign of a chosen hero. Finally the guardian spirits you met in this part have great designs. Once again I appreciate your thoughts of connections to other Zelda games & how much fun you are having. Awesome part & keep up the great work. :-) <3

This is also why the land of Hyrule always looks different between games. This Link IS a descendant of OoT/MM Link so you are right about that :) Love your gameplays as always Mapo
