Enjoying a lot, although I voted for Wind Waker, just because it would be a little pause from the dark stuff (hehe) and also I remember how exciting it was to go back to a more realistic Zelda after so many years... The first E3 trailer for Twilight Princess was a BANGER. Try to look for it if you have the time.

I think this is a great start to a Zelda game I especially love the very thoughtful speech/monologue about twilight. I appreciate how so many Zelda games go for a different Art style to better fit the story/themes they are going for & just keeping things fresh. I voted for a different Zelda game but I’m not disappointed because this is 1 of my favorite Zelda games for a lot of reasons I can’t talk about right now & I agree it’s a good follow-up to MM but I still look forward to when you get into the 2D games. I totally agree about many Nintendo games being focused on fun & that’s reflected in their tutorials often & Zelda’s gameplay it goes along with the feelings of adventure in these games but I love you talking connections to other Zelda games you have played. When you start playing Mario games or Metroid games it’s going to be really exciting.
Love the scenes with Epona & a new Village with fun characters that have a great relationship with Link. I love how crazy things get with the monsters, kidnapping, turning into a Wolf and an introduction to a interesting character & it worked really well as an ending to your 1st part. Lots of funny, exciting moments already I’m glad you’re enjoying it a lot so quickly. Great 1st part it is very entertaining I loved it as well as your thoughts. Keep up the great work I can’t wait for the next one. :-) <3

I'm excited for this game, but I really hope you play Wind Waker next!
Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game after Ocarina of Time, and it really feels like it finishes that game's story. But it's on a different "Timeline" from Majora's Mask, which this game follows - and MM and TP are the two darkest games.
(There are considered to be three timelines, all branching from different outcomes in Ocarina of Time.)
Art-style-wise, Twilight Princess matches best with the next game in the series, Skyward Sword.
Oh, and another thing in Zelda games is recurring names, or similar names at least - like Fado (who was a Kokiri girl in OoT), and the kids Malo and Talo (whose names are similar to Malon and Talon from OoT)

While I voted for and really was hoping for Wind Waker to win (I think release order is the way to go), I'm extremely stoked to watch you play more Zelda in general and Twilight Princess in particular!

That's true. But it is heavily implied and I have seen plenty of blind playthroughs where people make the connections based on the implications. It will be interesting to see if Mapo makes them!

I think I know what your thinking of, but you would only learn that knowledge by reading Hyrule Historia (the book where the timeline is explained). It's never told directly in-game. The references in TWW is however told in-game. A lot of it already in the intro.

Actually there is ties to TP and Majoras Mask and OOT. Don't want to spoil it but there's some pretty major ties between the 2.

i never said no connections its just that the connection sounds as if its said by a schizophrenic by how insane and convoluted it is, botw/totk also breaks what little sense the timeline had left. better to play the games standalone and if u see a reference dont think too much on it and just enjoy it.

The Wind Waker is much more connected with references to Ocarina of Time than Twilight Princess. None of them to Majoras Mask. Since TP follow the child-timeline, most of what you did in OOT didn't really happen.
People just voted what their favorite game was, not which game is the most connected. Though I hope you do not wait for too long with Wind Waker in case you forget too much of the details from oot to miss the references.
Generally in zelda, its best to do the 3D ones in release order. The 2D ones can be done whenever as long as you play A Link to the Past before A Link Between World, and the two Oracle games just after each other.

timelines in the zelda series makes as much sense as a schizophrenic persons ramblings do you self a favor and never look them up, it does make sense why people voted for this after tho but dont look too much into it for the other games trust me i went down that rabbit hole before
