The editing at 1:22:35, when you're investigating Selune's shrine, is a very nice touch !

Praise the ALT15

i love how slow you are going into each episode one of the reasons i watch other people play games is i like how differently people play games, and the different conclusions they come to. video games is art its experienced differently for everyone, you wouldn't rush someone looking at an art piece or tell them they are experiencing art the wrong way, so why do it to video games.

if youre going to use mods it might be useful to know there are two mods one which lets you use better camera controls allows you to zoom in more and look around alot easyier and the other a wasd control mod for kb&m. idk if these mods work with controller tho. i know you like looking at things close up might be something you'd like.

Np, enjoy the ride, there is plenty of stuff to comment on inside the 2h+ episodes and previous episodes. Not that I'm blameless myself during other playthroughs ;) , he just cleared things up very quickly with BG3 and advices, hints and such things. I'm new to Mapo's patreon as well, although watched his videos for years now, especially Bioware games. Became a member specificially for early access and ultimate "blind" experience with little reloads which I guessed he would go for.

Ok, I apologise, I'm new to the patreon and genuinely didnt know about the rules

I know you did, but still already posted - LPer already sees it, even with the gap and even before mods removal. He has huge LP experience and taking things slow, if he misses some optional interaction - so be it, honestly. All things that need to be revealed and happen - will happen, there is even variance for that, if one's playstyle is different. Better to not stress this particular LP(!) to see some interactions that are easily missed (if they weren't optional - they wouldn't be missed, it creates permutations and thus individual playthrough). I saw one playthrough when LPer was so stressed to spam longrests by the comments and forced them and had no interaction for a lot of time and was upset about it a lot, which made the whole experience quite unnatural meta-gaming playthrough to be frank. The game is very long and filled with content to get anyway, without trying to farm the content out of it, even if you miss the content due to RP, understanding of systems and such. Ofc, if LPer says backseat me away, then yes, why not. But that's not the case. Other advices, unlike some not experienced with DnD asking for advice - he did ask, scroll down the patreon feed for a "Quick PSA" post (from August 1st). I know people are passionate about the game, and it is good and fun, but just allow him to have the blind experience whatever this experience might be, even if he misses some interactions that people like - the game literally creates variance out of missed content while giving other content or not, all part of the journey. With respect and no offense. Cheers. P.S. 'Longresters' is me being cheeky, crowd is passionate, I get it, but there is a certain group formed around understanding how it works, and they are not wrong, but not right either, it is just one way of looking at things (as I said - optional things, mandatory - always will happen, there are different cutscenes for some). There are "longresters", "certain character exploiters" and "narrative experts" - all passionate groups, I love the community, but sometimes it just can't help itself (which I said under the PSA already - people are just passionate, not really trying to spoil or backseat out of malice or something)

Speaking for my post - I literally posted a pre-notification comment for mods AND a spoiler warning AND a gap so he didnt accidentally read anything. Also, where is the post where he says he doesnt want any advice etc? I genuinely didn't realise there was one (obviously he doesnt want spoilers, that's a given, but I didn't know about gameplay hints)

x_Rhi_x

Damn. Dude literally posted "please no advices, hints or backseating" and got backseated heavily on 3rd episode and had to disable comments for part4. "Longresters" arrived with their assessment of how things work, goddamit, nice community interaction and understand, thanks ya'll

Oh my bad! I must have missed it!! Gale is my favorite character in BG3

I found moving much easier using controller, and the way they set up access to the menus is the best I've seen for a keyboard replacement. This coming from an avowed keyboard/mouse afficianado for the PC. However...I do/did revert back to KB/mouse for turn based action (i.e. combat.)

timekills

please go back to the purple portal last episode and see that I already have :)

Mapocolops

I am BEGGING you to long rest. Please 🙏

bree

Not trying to spoil anything but don’t forget to go back and interact with the purple portal you came across last episode.

Peeep231

Glad someone else asked. :)

pretty sure mapo wants no tips or anything of the sort

I'm devouring this playthrough everytime a new episode drops. Any chance we could get new episodes every other day?

Alexander Schuster

yea and it feels like switching to android after using windows. It's so restrictive and claustrophobic

Onat Arık

a satisfying exploratory episode!! and i don't know if I'm in the minority or not but the controller ui and radial wheel stuffs make me nauseous lol im so used to kbm that my brain couldn't fathom a different layout
