I was distrustful of him from the start, but his talk with Cal on Jedha finally made me actually like him. . . right before the betrayal. I was so genuinely mad with him at that moment, because I felt like he betrayed me too. Right when I finally gave in and trusted him, he pulled the rug out from under everyone. Great character. And then the following section defending the archives and the sequences after that have the scene with the best transition of the entire game, crazy good. I read that scene as Cal showing up hours later and finding Cere after the archives had burned, hence the transition from flames to ashes when he finds her. Heard her last words through the Force and found her body amidst the ashes of the archives, sadly beautiful stuff.
