It's time for a poll!

Throwing some games into the ring for an upcoming playthrough, time to duke it out. :)

im gonna go joker mode

I'll definitely vote for Prey next time (unless Hades is against it), but if Subnautica is on the poll I have to vote for it lol. It certainly is an excellent game, albeit far different from the other two I mentioned.

SuddenImpulse

Subnauticaaaaaaa! Long have I waited....

SuddenImpulse

Like the others said, I'd be very down to see you try it on recording sometime and hear your thoughts and see your experience with it, but idk if you should mainline it that way for your very initial first experience. It simply was not designed originally with it in mind, it was an after-the fact adaption.

SuddenImpulse

Definitely not VR

StormFather45

I’d recommend staying away from VR for your first time, the game wasn’t made with VR in mind originally and last I tired it didn’t function well.

Xenny

Prey was amazing! I'm 100% sure you'd love it. If it's not happening now, i sure hope you will play it a some point :)

Nakkisika

Rip to evil within. Love you bb girl

Michael

Gonna throw in my two cents and say also I’d be happy with a non-VR experience of Subnautica first and foremost. The game is gonna overwhelm you at the start i think, once you have a handle on things maybe checking it out after you’ve wrapped up your original playthrough maybe have some fun in VR or even beforehand if you’re keen, but it’s not something that’s a dealbreaker for me

Tristan Tapp

Ooh tough decision. I would say for a first playthrough it might be best to play non-VR. Subnautica in VR sounds overwhelming frankly (hah).

Gabriel L.

I wouldn't recommend VR for a first time experience, but you should definitely try it at some point. I heard VR is very nauseating

Jackal Sniper

Long ago, indeed - I did not rechecked VR support recently. But I'll hold to my point still with the first blind playthrough)

Tiergott

Would really recommend at least trying it, it enhances the experience a lot imo

Zaekulia

When was that? They did a few things with the VR version in the last big update(mostly some really annoying bugs, can't really say much about the performance since it was fine for me even before)

Zaekulia

If Subnautica wins I wouldn't do VR for it. It's not well optimized for that and wasn't originally a VR game. The game drops down to 1080p for the 60fps mode on PS5. Honestly I'd recommend it on PC it runs a lot better than the console versions.

Shadowdane

I've gone with inscription, But If it seems like prey has a chance to win over subnautica I'll switch to that last minute.

Lightning101

Considering Tiergott's comment, don't forget VR then lol

Taolex

I tried Subnautica VR and it was not good( Game is not optimized well for VR. Plus - there will be nausea all the time. And I am skilled VR user - played whole Half-life 2 VR without switching to 3rd person mode during boat and car segments) Also - originally Subnautica had no VR support, so for a blind first playthrough I suggest going for non-VR version

Tiergott

Subnautica VR, if it works well, would be crazy.

Taolex

INSCRYPTION GANG WHERE YOU AT? LETS GO CLEAN SWEEP 97 VOTES LET"S KNOCK THIS OUT OF THE FUCKING PARK

Thegn Joy

If Subnautica does win, let me know if you'd prefer VR or non-VR for a first time experience? I'm up for either, maybe I could try it but if it's not for me go back to a normal experience.

Mapocolops

Would really love to see a Subnautica VR playthrough
