Ok I’m watching this reaction now haha and yes, I don’t usually enjoy these kind of shows myself but I do watch them since they’re BL oriented. I do enjoy Porches character due to how charismatic he is. His personality is amazing.

2025-05-18 21:13:06 +0000 UTCHey Annie! Having seen most of the show already, my view on him has drastically changed! I see you've also seen the rest of my reactions 😂 but I kinda still think that he came across a bit bratty in the first few eps but I think that was to allow for some character development as the show progressed. Will I get the same perception of him if I watched it again? Probably not because I'll see past the Mafia role that he plays, and see it's all a front to keep the Main family name first as he's the successor. But I agree with the rest of your analysis!

2025-05-13 00:20:13 +0000 UTCFabi, great reaction as always. Be warned.. Essay incoming 🤣😂 I'm gonna stick up for my boy Kinn! Especially in ep 1. He's not a brat he's a Mafia boss and I'd argue unjustly is never given the grace of understanding. We meet him as he's just taking over the reins of the family and I don't know if it's because I've always watched Mafia movies/TV that I understood Kinn from the get go. Understandably he pales in comparison to Porsche's charm and sweetness but the first 5 mins of this ep alone establishes for us that in his world Kinn doesn't have the luxury that Porsche has to be nice as he's literally constantly under fire. The meeting with the Italians tells us Kinn needs to assert his dominance in his new position as head of the family. The old man clearly throws shade saying he's not ready for the role mocking him with the question if he still likes gelato. Not to mention to boldly use one of Kinn's own men to steal from him. Something the Italian would never have dared to do with Kinn's father. Hence the brilliant line I'm more like my mum. Kinn is gangsta AF in this establishing scene. Not only does he go into their territory and kill their mole in front of them as a shot across the bow. He makes it clear there is now a new world order. He even makes damn sure the old man understands that he will not be messed with by stating his intentions IN ITALIAN!! Unlike Porsche Kinn is not surrounded by love and support. His own father who is still very much the head of the family is testing him and questions his capability. Not to mention over rules his decisions. The father wants Porsche, not Kinn. You even said the father will probably love Porsche more than Kinn cause let's face it we really didn't see any affection from the father for his son. Hell Kinn can't even rely upon his bodyguards. He had to use the help of a complete stranger to get him out of danger! In contrast, despite his hardships, look at the support, trust and admiration that Porsche receives from his brother, friends, boss & colleagues. Kinn, like Porsche, is cocky AND cheeky (the "gifts" he left for the Italians) or his pick up line of wanting to send "gift basket" which is probably why he's charmed by Porsche at the end of ep 1.

This show is controversial because it reveals and exposes that truth. It’s dark but real, and that’s something BL likes to shy away from.
