believe me when I say this, a lot of university students in my region act like this. They will fight over some randoms matters. My university even went so far as to separate two faculties (engineering and social sciences) into two different areas to prevent the students from meeting because they often fight and broke the school facilities.

The whole KBL vs TBL debate seems pretty silly to me. Honestly the KBL industry isn’t as developed as TBL yet. For starters, a lot of KBL series aren’t even full-length and the majority are super short, with "Love in the Big City" being the only regular length series that stands out. Because of this, the stories don’t really dig deep. Plus when it comes to acting, most of the actors are lesser known idols with no real training, while others are just rookies with little experience. Since the BL genre isn’t that advanced in Korea, you don’t see well-known or skilled actors wanting to take part in these series. So the acting tends to be pretty weak, aside from a few exceptions. Now on the big issue of LGBTQ representation, Thailand takes the win here. They have directors, screenwriters, and some openly queer actors from the community involved in their productions, which means a huge variety of representations from gay to bisexual, pansexual, transgender, asexual and lesbian and so on. They even tell stories about queer folks who are deaf or visually impaired. Series like "Not Me" and "Eclipse" tackle social issues and push back against the system. The BL and GL industry in Thailand has actually made a positive impact on the government’s approach to queer rights, so now same-sex marriage is legal there. Korea still has a long way to go. Right now the only KBL series that can really hold its own against Thai shows is "Love in the Big City," which is likely why there’s so much chatter about this lately. But honestly Korea needs more solid shows with the kind of representation found in "Love in the Big City" to even compete. And let’s not forget, K-pop and K-drama fans often have a superior complex over the content from other Asian countries particularly South Asian ones which honestly feels a bit like racism to me.
