This update is not about Ponytail Gorl’s Virtual Nightmare. It is, however, being developed to help with that game’s development. This game will both help me with understanding the engine I’m using to develop PGVN and also work on how to properly implement some of the mechanics present in this game into PGVN.
So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to Carol’s Delivery Dash!
Carol’s Delivery Dash is about Carol, one of Nairod’s OCs, and how she lost multiple pizzas around the neighborhood of her customers. She needs to get them back and deliver them for tips before time runs out. ENF hijinks ensue with the bushes themselves stealing her clothes each round.
Carol’s Delivery Dash is a memory-based auto-runner where Carol needs to keep running to get the pizzas. The flowers in the yard help her know the patterns of the pizzas ahead. Miss the pizzas, and it’s fine because you get to loop back around when you enter the bushes. Keep in mind you can't do too many loops though, you might just Game Over.
Up makes you go up a lane. Down makes you go down a lane. Occasional key presses for stuff like the Title and Game Over screens. It’s not complex, just watch the early gameplay above this:
There are still a lot of things I want to update and add to the game currently so that it’s the best it can be when I finally release the finished version. These include some of the following:
Working on making the game be a bit faster paced and more arcade-like.
Adding more visual flair to the overall product with more art and animations in the game, such as multiple ENF-based results screens and better Title and Game Over screens.
Changing the Carol sprites, so they have their own unique style to them instead of trying to emulate my original sprite style.
That’s all I have for this update. Have a good rest of your day. :)
