Meet Evie, Our New Drummer!

“Come on, it’s just for a little while,” Jess said, giving her brother an exaggerated pout. “We have a gig coming up soon, and we cannot perform without a drummer.”

Ethan sighed. “And you’re sure no one else can do it?”

Jess crossed her arms. “Unless you know someone who can step in on such short notice?”

Ethan hesitated. “I mean… I guess I could—”

“Great!” Jess clapped her hands. “Now, there’s just one small thing…”

His stomach sank. “What?”

Jess grinned. “We’re an all-girl band, Ethan. So, we need you to look the part.”

That’s how, the next day, Ethan found himself sitting in Jess’s bedroom, arms folded, legs pressed together as his sister and her bandmates gleefully transformed him.

“I still don’t see why this is necessary,” he mumbled, but his words were ignored as Sasha, the band’s bassist, took his hand and started painting his nails a deep, glossy red.

Jess was already working on his face, dabbing foundation onto his skin before meticulously blending it in. “Look, we’re an all-girl group. It would totally ruin our image if we suddenly had a guy on stage. So, if you’re going to do this, you have to sell it.”

She moved on quickly, dusting contour along his cheekbones and jawline, blending carefully to create a softer, more sculpted shape. A sweep of blush followed, adding a natural flush to his cheeks before she picked up an eyeshadow palette. Ethan blinked as warm, shimmery tones were brushed over his lids, blending seamlessly into a smoky gradient. Then came the precise flick of jet-black eyeliner, extending out into a flawless wing that gave his eyes a sultry, feline shape. A few coats of mascara darkened and thickened his lashes, making them long and fluttery, drawing even more attention to his now-striking gaze.

Jess didn’t even pause before twisting open a tube of lipstick. She cupped his chin to keep him still as she carefully dragged the creamy nude shade over his lips, coating them in a soft, satiny sheen. The color wasn’t overpowering, but it made them look fuller, more defined—undeniably feminine.

By the time she pulled back, Ethan barely recognized himself.

Next came the breast forms. His face burned as the girls secured them to his chest, adjusting until they sat naturally. The added weight and shape made him squirm. Before he could react, Jess and Maddie grabbed a cropped beige top and pulled it over his head, tugging it down into place. The material stretched snugly over the breast forms, leaving no question about his new silhouette.

“Oh wow,” Maddie teased. “You’ve got a better rack than me.”

Ethan groaned. “This is humiliating.”

Jess smirked. “Oh, sweetie, we’re not even done.”

His stomach twisted as they handed him a pair of tight black faux-leather leggings. Pulling them on felt like squeezing into a second skin, every movement making him hyper-aware of how they hugged his legs and hips. Then came the chunky-heeled ankle boots. He barely had time to wobble in them before Jess clapped her hands.

“There! Now we have our new drummer, Evie,” Jess declared, stepping back with a satisfied grin.

Ethan wanted to disappear. The weight on his chest, the tightness of the leggings, the slight wobble from the heels—it was all humiliating. But what made it worse was the way the girls exchanged amused glances.

Maddie smirked. “You know… maybe we don’t need to look for a new drummer after all.”

Sasha giggled. “Yeah, Evie’s already fitting right in.”

Jess leaned in with a teasing grin. “You might be stuck with us, sis.”

Ethan’s face burned. “Wait. You are still looking for someone else, right?”

Maddie shrugged dramatically. “I dunnooo, I kinda like Evie.”

Sasha nodded. “Yeah, she’s got potential.”

Jess just winked. “Guess we’ll see.”

Ethan groaned, gripping his drumsticks tighter. He really hoped they weren’t serious.
