I started my journey by modding games, which meant in order to add new events I had to replicate the art style of the game.
While it was an awarding experience, It felt like I had no identity of my own.
I've spent the last month practicing my own original pieces in order to develop my own style.
I've gained a few things
Concept control, no longer at the mercy of what's immersive in the game
Quality and dimensions no longer limited by the original game's resolution
Scenario freedom, no longer limited by what's mechanically possible in the game
It feels good to be free of these frustrations. I already had hefty experience in graphic design and art software so it was a benign transition.
My apologies for taking so long, I went through multiple iterations before
I developed an art style I was confident in.
I'm going to focus on original illustration, comics and animation from now on.
With that in mind, please enjoy Erza Scarlet wearing a slutty sweater.
She was my model for all my practice so it felt fitting.
